We have several years of experience in designing hot form tools for both the automotive and aerospace industries. Pre-heating the material before it is loaded into the tool allows for greater formability in single tool. Due to the heating and post pressing processes the process is used mainly for low volume parts in both aerospace and automotive industries although where lightweight and complex parts are required, several tier one automotive suppliers are now using the process in higher volume runs.
